Lasting Power of Attorney

It is a good opportunity to review or consider powers of attorney when writing your Will. In our opinion, powers of attorney are more important than Wills because they make provision to look after our clients while they are alive.

We offer competitive fixed fee prices for clients wishing to complete Lasting Powers of Attorney with our experienced staff. By being able to offer fixed fee prices, Earl and Crocker are able to provide their clients with certainty and transparency so they know what they are paying from the outset.

To encourage clients to prepare powers of attorney at the same time as their Wills, we also offer package prices, making it more cost effective to ensure all client’s documentation at the same time.

The Office of the Public Guardian charge £82 (inclusive of VAT @ 20%) per form and this will be payable at the time the Lasting Powers of Attorneys are signed. Some clients might be eligible for fee remission and this can be discussed in our appointment.

As above - The Office of the Public Guardian charge £82 (inclusive of VAT @ 20%) per form and this will be payable at the time the Lasting Powers of Attorneys are signed. Some clients might be eligible for fee remission and this can be discussed in our appointment.

We aim to send to you your draft Lasting Power of Attorney within 2 - 3 weeks and after this, we will ask you to arrange an appointment for them to be signed. Once signed by you and your attorneys, we will send the forms to the Office of the Public Guardian for registration and this process can take 15 – 20 weeks. When the form has been registered, it will be returned to our offices and we will notify you of this.
